Is your business looking to save TIME, RESOURCES, and COSTS while investing in the workforce of tomorrow?

The Northern Virginia Educating Youth through Employment (E.Y.E.) program is a summer initiative that recruits, screens and matches youth ages 16-21 with professional opportunities in the private sector and other area businesses. These young adults are required to attend intensive training workshops before and during their work experiences. The E.Y.E. program offers local youth more than just a summer job, but rather an exciting, professional opportunity with training that will allow them to explore a career path that matches their interest.
SkillSource, in coordination with Fairfax County’s Youth Employment and Training Services, has successfully implemented this employer-driven summer employment initiative since 2006. |
So what are the benefits for area employers?
- Did you know the labor market is experiencing a shortage of workers who have obtained the soft skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce, including communication and teamwork skills? By exposing an eager young worker now to your industry, the possibility increases that they could be one of your future successful employees.
- Save time and recruitment costs by hiring a young job seeker that has already been recruited, pre-screened and prepared for a job at your company.
- Your organization will be publicly recognized as a socially responsible organization at our E.Y.E. Awards Ceremony for employers, youth and their parents.
